At Compass Church, we believe that great communities are built on the contributions of many. Each of our volunteers commits to serve on one volunteer team, at one worship gathering, once a month. (Feel free to serve more often if you wish!) Below, you’ll find descriptions of our volunteer roles and how you can get involved during the week.

Sunday Volunteer Roles

As a member of the Welcome Team, you’ll be the first friendly face that attendees see. Arriving early, you’ll greet guests at the entrance, help them feel at home, and guide them to various areas of the church. If you love connecting with people and creating a warm environment, this role is perfect for you!

Join the Coffee Serving Team to ensure everyone starts their Sunday with a warm cup of coffee! You’ll arrive early to brew fresh coffee, set up the coffee station, and engage with attendees as they enjoy their drinks. No barista experience is required—just a friendly smile and a willingness to serve!

Join the Donut Pick Up Team to bring a sweet treat to our Sunday gatherings! This team is responsible for placing an order throughout the week and picking up the donuts on Sunday morning. It’s a fun way to serve our community and add a little joy to everyone’s day!

Prayer is foundational to our worship gatherings. The Pre-Service Prayer Team meets at 8:00 AM to pray for the service, the congregation, and the needs of our community. If you have a heart for prayer and want to help create a spiritually enriching atmosphere, consider joining this team.

Help enhance our worship experience by serving as a Slides Volunteer. You’ll be responsible for displaying song lyrics and other important information during the service. No prior experience is necessary; our tech director will provide you with all the training you need!

In today’s digital age, reaching our community online is vital. As a Live Stream Volunteer, you’ll assist in broadcasting our services to those unable to attend in person. This role involves setting up equipment and ensuring a smooth viewing experience for our online audience.

Join the Sound Volunteer team to help manage the audio aspects of our worship services. You’ll work closely with our sound team to ensure that every note and word is heard clearly. Previous experience is a plus, but training will be provided.

As a Communion Volunteer, you’ll help prepare and serve communion during our worship gatherings. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to connect with our congregation as you facilitate this important church-wide practice.

Make a difference in the lives of our youngest attendees by serving as a Compass Kids Volunteer. You’ll create a safe and engaging environment for children during our services. This may involve leading activities, assisting with lessons, or caring for infants and toddlers. A background check is required to ensure the safety of our kids.
